What NYCOYQP is lacking now (I think):
1) Cleaner Yangqins (blow blow blow)
2) Cleaner Percussion Instruments (eg Timpani, Yun Luo, Cymbals)
3) Tad Sense of Emotion in songs (other than silly laughter that is)
4) Tad Sense of Tai Feng aka stage wind in songs (not windy enough)
5) Form (We are the Brazilians without the samba now!)

Hello! Me and Felicia went to Bras Basah and bought lots of stuff! We bought $120 worth of yangqin strings, a pair of $100 bass drum mallets, a pair of $20 wire brushes and then we went to Yamaha to buy the maracas! We got back the old one! YAY. It's $40+. Hoho we spent so much money. Mallets and maracas we can claim money from CO fund. But yangqin strings we have to pay. *cries* So everybody has to pay YANGQIN FUND! Our YQP treasurer Felicia will tell you how much to pay (:
Yamaha is so nice! Got so many guitars! And DRUMSTICKS. And they're Zildjian mostly! So cool! Okay I'm ranting -.-
So now Xinyi can play the bass drum with nice big fat bass drum mallets! Bass drum is a nice instrument! Shall teach her how to play with style! Wheehee.
OH. We might be having extra practice with guolaoshi this friday afternoon 1.30-5pm. I need to check with Mrs Ee if it's okay. But keep your Friday (16 June) free.
Just for updates, we're going to get a new dagu, new dagu stand, new xylophone, new vibraphone and new snare drum! So exciting!

In short it means a lot of us aren't up to standards =/ So please put in effort! Whether it's dazu or xiaozu, daji or yangqin. heyy...people...I dunno lah but its jsut a suggestion.
For dazu rite, erm... i was thinking cos sometimes some of us cannot make it for whatever reasons, it becomes like no one is playing that instrument.
For example, that tuesday, Pei Yan wasn't around, and thus, nobody played the mu yu. Maybe we could have an extra copy of her score, so that there is a replacement.Shawn wasn't there too, so same goes to her score.
Or like people playing yangqin for lin an, two cannot make it.So only Ziyi was playing. We could have an extra copy, so that someone there who is not playing anything (in that case, its me) can shi pu n try to play along with the orchestra. At least Ziyi won't feel so lonely sorta thing.
Yea.
Its just a suggestion. So if you guys don't like it, ignore this post.
