Sunday, June 03, 2007 Firstly, an advertisement to be done:
Hello!
We are a Secondary Three student based fund-raising group Save-n'07 from Nanyang Girls' High School, comprising Wong Lai Weng, Ester Cheang, Elise Tan and Phang Chew Fei. Our fund-raising project is officially funded and supported by the Citibank-YMCA Youth For Causes 2007 (Under 16 Catergory). We aim to raise a total amount of $50,000 for Club Rainbow ( Singapore) organization through a series of events involving street sales, organized talks in schools, and also an inaugural Chinese Orchestra concert. Club Rainbow (Singapore) is a non-profit organization especially offering financial and emotional assistance to chronically ill children and teenagers.
Through these events, we aim to spread awareness about young children suffering from chronic or life-threatening illnesses, to spread awareness of the emotional and financial help the children from Club Rainbow need, to spread awareness of the emotional and financial help Club Rainbow provides and most importantly to make a change in the children's lives.
Henceforth we would like to appeal for volunteers to aid in the street sales event to be held at the Orchard area on the following dates 9th June 07, Saturday (9a.m. - 1p.m. / 2p.m-6p.m.) 10th June 07, Sunday (9a.m. - 1p.m. / 2p.m.-6p.m.) 16th June 07, Saturday (9a.m. -1p.m. / 2p.m.-6p.m.) 17th June 07, Sunday ( 9a.m. -1p.m. / 2p.m.-6p.m. As a large portion of our funds raised will obtained through street sales, it is extremely important to have enough volunteers to aid in this major aspect of the project. We will be providing beautiful Club Rainbow collar pins as well as exquisite merchandise, produced by Art Elective Programme students of Nanyang Girls' High School, for the sales.
It is useful to note that each street sales session lasts for four hours, and all volunteers will be awarded CIP hours in reward for their kind services. For every hour that you have volunteered your services with us for, you will receive one hour worth of CIP hours.
Once again we sincerely appeal for your kind help in this event. Even a single little deed as such can change the lives of the ill children under Club Rainbow ( Singapore). We would genuinely appreciate your reply to this email. If you are interested in volunteering your services with us, please do reply with your NAME, NRIC NUMBER, CONTACT NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS, AGE, SCHOOL and DATES AVAILABLE, or any other specificities of your school CIP system that might require our special attention. This is to facilitate in the better documentation of volunteer details. If you are, however, not too keen on the event, we will like to thank you for your time too.
PS: All proceeds go to our adopted Club Rainbow (Singapore). P lease help forward and disseminate this message to your friends so as to help promote our cause further!
